What should I have with me during our training session?

When conducting a dog training session in the client's home, it's crucial for the client to be well-prepared. They should start by having their dog ready and present, ensuring the dog is well-rested and has relieved itself before the session begins. It's important to provide the dog's favorite treats or rewards for positive reinforcement during training. A leash and a suitable collar or harness are necessary for safety and control. Creating a quiet and distraction-free environment within the home is vital for effective learning. Additionally, having water and a bowl on hand to keep the dog hydrated, training tools recommended by the trainer, comfortable attire, a notebook and pen for taking notes, and a list of questions or concerns about their dog's behavior or training will make the session more productive. By having these essentials, clients can work closely with the trainer to achieve their training goals in the comfort of their own home.

How soon will I see improvement in my dog's behavior

The speed at which you'll see improvements in your dog's behavior can vary depending on several factors. Typically, you may start noticing some positive changes within a few weeks of consistent training. However, the exact timeline can depend on factors such as the dog's age, temperament, the specific behavior issue, and the consistency of training. Some dogs may respond quickly to training, while others might take more time. It's important to remember that dog training is an ongoing process, and patience is key. The more consistent you are with training and reinforcement, the faster you're likely to see improvements. Additionally, it's crucial that you, as the dog owner, do the homework and practice the techniques that your dog trainer has provided.
